Semi Circle Agility Drill

This double semi circle drill is great for training speed while running around a hoops. Teaching the body how to bend towards the center of the circle, is key for winning open field/open court positioning battles! Also the cross over runs in between the semi circle runs help us train change of direction and hip flipping! Try it out!

  • Set up cones to make a semi circle with a diameter of 10 yards, the semi circle next to it, make it only 6 yards in diameter.

  • Set up speed hurdles or more cones in the beginning of your drill to get you to lateral high knee run to begin your drill.

  • As you bend around the semi-circle, plant your near foot at the end on the line, run 5 yards directly away from the line, run back to the line, turn your hips, and plant the opposite foot on the line to run the next semi circle!

  • Repeat the same stop and go you did after the first circle and run through the line to finish!
